Hunter Biden’s Troubling Relationship With Russia
Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, may have exposed that the investigation into the Trump campaign Russia hoax was misguided and misdirected. In fact, that investigation probably should have been directed at him.
For nearly three years, the Democrats colluded with deep state FBI anti-Trumpers to discredit the president and try to remove him from office. The Mueller Report found no such evidence of Russian collusion.
However, the evidence is mounting that Hunter Biden may have had deep connections with the Kremlin that significantly benefited him. The question is, how far up did those connections go? Did they have any influence on then-Vice President Joe Biden and the Obama administration?
Senate Report Exposes Major Issues
On Wednesday morning, September 23, an 87-page report was released by the Senate Homeland Security Committee. It states that the Obama administration knew Hunter Biden’s position on the board of Burisma was “problematic,” and how it “interfered” with the Obama administration’s policies concerning Ukraine.
Burisma was known to be corrupt at the time Hunter joined the board. While the younger Biden was serving on the company’s executive committee, the elder Biden was responsible for overseeing the US and Ukrainian relationship and policy for the administration. On its own, and at a minimum, that looks highly inappropriate considering the corruption allegations against Burisma.
Two individuals are known to have raised the issue: State Department official George Kent and the former US special envoy and coordinator for International Energy Affairs Amos Hochstein. Both flagged their concerns to the vice president’s office but were ignored.
Financial Dealings With Foreign Governments Raise Alarms
In addition to the concerns about Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board, the committee obtained his record of financial transactions from the US Treasury Department. Those records suggest there could have been criminal financial activity in transactions involving Ukraine, Russia, Kazakh, and the Chinese.
Worse still, Hunter sent money to women in the United States who were non-resident aliens from Russia and Ukraine. Those women, in turn, wired the money to people in Russia and Ukraine. Additionally, Hunter sent millions of dollars to foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and people tied to the Communist Party of China.
The financial records also suggest he sent thousands of dollars to people possibly involved in human trafficking, the porn industry, and prostitution.
The Investigation Is Just Beginning
The investigation is just beginning. It highlights the cronyism of the Democrats who attacked Trump for Russian collusion when there was a bad actor in their midst.
Several questions sorely need answers.
Did the Obama administration and the vice president know what was going on?
Did they turn a blind eye to it?
Did they try to use Trump as a scapegoat and lie to cover up Hunter Biden’s actions that could be linked to his father in some way?
All great questions we deserve answers to.
