It comes as no surprise, after watching President Trump's Address to the Nation, 1/8/19 including the nationally televised response from Senator Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, a response which incidentally had perpetuated into today as seen by Trump's tweet above, he is forced to sign an Executive Order to create border security.
Trump has given the Democrats a chance to come forward and support the safety and security of America and legal citizens by approving financing for 2,000 miles of a southern border to stop the incoming flow of human trafficking and drugs. People are dying. Not just Americans, but also foreigners who attempt to enter the United States illegally. This game played out by the Democrats, dragging out this issue while the government is partially shut down, is causing those crimes to continue.
President Trump has made his stance very clear about human trafficking when he created an Executive Order on 12/21/17: Blocking the Property of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption. Aside from being a campaign promise, the border wall is an important, relevant issue for our president and this country.
It is President Trump's hopes, after signing this Executive Order wherein Congress is to provide the funds needed to complete the wall under a State of Emergency, there can be a bipartisan attempt for Immigration Reform. Most Conservatives certainly hope so.
