Putin Offers To Help Mueller, Says Wealthy Russian Gave Clinton Campaign $400,000
Putin said Bill Browder gave $400 million in donations to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Russian President Vladimir Putin not only offered to help Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe into alleged Trump-Russia collusion, he revealed that a wealthy Russian and his associates gave Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 presidential campaign $400 million, according to Vox.
During a joint news conference on Monday in Finland, Putin responded to Mueller indicting 12 Russian military officers last Friday, for alleged involvement in 2016 hacks. Some have speculated that the timing of the last round of indictments was because Democrats were afraid of this happening.
Putin not only offered to allow the Russian government to work with the U.S. intelligence community, he dropped a bombshell that Bill Browder and his allies funneled $400 million to Clinton’s campaign.
“Last year, there was one extradition case by the United States. Mueller can use this treaty as an official request to us… in this case this kind of effort should be a reciprocal one. For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder. They sent a huge amount of money. $400 million to Hillary Clinton,” Putin said.
Putin added that he would allow members of Mueller’s investigation into Russia if the U.S. would allow Russian investigators to travel to America to investigate allegations that Browder didn’t pay taxes in either Russia or the U.S. on millions of dollars he has earned.
Browder runs a large investment firm that was once one of the largest financial groups in Russia. The two men have had numerous public spats. Browder has accused Putin of being a brutal dictator and Putin has claimed Browder isn’t paying taxes on the money he has earned in Russia.
As reported by The Washington Post, the Russian government placed Browder on its most wanted list last year, saying he was a national security threat who had contacts with notable figures opposed to Putin.
Putin’s claim that Browder and his allies funneled $400 million to Clinton’s campaign would be a massive revelation. With endless reporting that President Donald Trump colluded with Russia, it would be incredibly ironic to see evidence suggesting Clinton actually colluded with Russia during the election.
Mueller, who was appointed just over one year ago, has not produced a shred of evidence against Trump pertaining to any illegal activities or collusion with Russia.
While the U.S. will more than likely never allow Russians into American intelligence agencies, Putin’s claim that Browder may have illegally given hundreds of millions of dollars to Clinton’s campaign is a major revelation.
Clinton and the liberal media have claimed for nearly two years that Trump colluded with Russia, yet there continues to be more evidence suggesting that Clinton was far more cozy with the Russians than the Trump campaign ever was.
Time will tell what happens next, but Putin’s claim should warrant an investigation, at the very least.
