We sang this song every morning before classes started. We pledged allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands. One nation indivisible with Liberty and justice for all." We read one chapter of the Bible, taking turns each day, We then discussed what we thought the lesson was to be learned in that chapter. We recited the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father, which are in Heaven. Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever. Amen." I think I was in the 5th grade when the controversy started about the theory of evolution. A woman named Madelyn Ohara was an atheist and raised a fuss about the Bible being taught in school when some were atheists and were free to choose. I guess that is probably where most of the malarkey started. They stressed the fact that nothing in the pledge mentions God. Back then christians stood up. I know my family did. There was such a turmoil that they decided to have "Released Time" so congress passed this first subtle law to release students for two hours on Wednesdays to study the Bible. What a mistake that was to compromise with satan himself. Christians still fought back and so that poor wimpy congress compromised again thinking it is right to seek peace. To prove it is a Christian Nation they decided to place the words "Under God" in the pledge of allegiance. Later Madelyn Ohara's son met the Lord and there came an awakening under Ronald Reagan. We need another Awakening and the song ...
America says it all! My country tis of thee. Sweet Land of Liberty. To thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, Land of the Pilgrims pride. From every mountain side...Let Freedom Ring. My native country thee, Land of the noble free. Thy Name I Love! I love thy rocks and rills, thy woods and templed hills. My heart with rapture thrills, like that Above. let music swell the breeze and ring from all the trees...Sweet Freedom's Song. Let mortal tongues awake. Let all that breathe partake. Let rocks their silence break, the sound prolong. Our Father's God to Thee, Author of Liberty. To Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright, with Freedom's Holy Light. Protect US by Thy Might...Great God our King.!
