The former Vice President Biden got very, very mixed up about simple things like facts and numbers during a virtual roundtable discussion with three Democrat governors on Thursday, where he erroneously claimed that “millions” of people have died from the coronavirus.
Millions.
“We’re in the middle of a pandemic that has cost us more than 85,000 jobs as of today. Lives of millions of people, millions of people, millions of jobs,” he declared while speaking to Govs. Ned Lamont (D-CT), Phil Murphy (D-NJ), and Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI).
For reference, globally, just over 300,000 have died from the novel virus, and just under 86,000 have died in the US.
Meanwhile, far-reaching shutdown measures have cost the American economy 26 million jobs, according to NPR.
This wasn’t Biden’s only embarrassing moment during the live-streamed event, as Biden continues to prove that neither he nor anyone on his staff has the slightest bit of internet savvy.
