Today Nancy Pelosi had asserted her authority as Speaker of the House by cancelling the State of the Union address scheduled for Jan 29th in a letter she sent to President Trump. This is the first time in the history of our nation.
Here is an official letter Pelosi had sent to President Trump, dated 1/16/19. Please note her "concern over security" for the event because of lack of pay for government employees . . .
This is the letter Trump had sent in response to Nancy Pelosi's letter of Jan 16th whereby he looked forward to attending the State of the Union . . .
Apparently, as seen by Pelosi's letter below, the security concern for the event was not really the issue, but her desire to re-open the government on Democrats' terms. Here is Nancy Pelosi's response, which I find rather harsh, don't you think? What is Pelosi afraid of that she should prevent the President of the United States from speaking to the American people?? If the Democrats are so forthright in their actions, believing what they stand for represents what the majority of legal American citizens desire, why not let President Trump speak? Wouldn't she and her fellow Democrats be able to refute anything President Trump would have to say?

President Trump told reporters at
the White House "we'll do something in the alternative," suggesting a
speech of some kind will still happen. Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy introduced a resolution to allow the
State of the Union to go forward as planned on Jan. 29, however, Pelosi fired back in a letter to President Trump
saying she would not consider what's known as a "concurrent resolution," needed to allow use of the chamber for a State of the
Union address.
It is clear Democrats are not even considering the border wall is a national security concern. Ironically, Pelosi's concern is security surrounding the State of the Union which Trump pointed out is not a concern. One must question Pelosi's projection of what constitutes a "security concern". What is the security difference for the Southern border and use of a chamber to give the State of the Union address? Hmmm? 💫
Reflecting upon Nancy Pelosi's current action reminded me of a time in 2010. John Dennis (R-CA) an antiwar, anti-Washington candidate who was backed by Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul, ran against Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). This was his third attempt to overthrow the career politician. Too bad someone didn't tell Dennis Republicans will have a difficult time winning high seats in California as the Democrats have their claws sunk in deep because of voter fraud i.e. illegal aliens voting, fixed voting machines and people assigned to tally votes. So how can legal voters get rid of corrupt politicians who have made a career in state government? Term limits? Anyway, I thought it fitting to present a 2010 Flashback of John Dennis' campaign ad because Nancy Pelosi is . . .
