Our government was instituted to protect and defend our Fundamental Law which has nothing to do with the establishment, support or management of the government...PERIOD END OF THE ARGUMENT.
The legislature/Congress has no authority to alter the Fundamental Law at all or the Constitution in a manner that grants themselves with more power. In other words, we can't make legislation regarding any Fundamental Rights (not just marital and parental rights, any natural or civil right) because that is a power reserved to the people (see the IX & X Amendment) AT THE COMMON LAW.
VII Amendment "Suits at the COMMON LAW exceeding the value of twenty dollars, the right to a TRIAL BY JURY, (not jury trial) shall be preserved, and no "FACT tried by a jury", shall ever be otherwise re-examined in ANY COURT OF THE UNITED STATES, than according to the "RULES OF THE COMMON LAW".
It's time for the People to get educated on The Law. The real Law.
Here's a Maxim of Law (this is where core concepts of Law draw the proverbial line in the sand)
What I cannot do in my person, I cannot do it through the Agency of another.
So if you can't do it to your neighbor then you can't do it through Agency of government or any Agent...period.
So the ultimate question is "why are you doing that?" By what authority? By what "warrant"? Did you follow the process that is due to your fellow man? Because our Rights impose a "Duty" to follow The Law, not statutes, rules, regulations promulgated by our Representatives (servants) in government because that would be the servant telling the Master what the Law is. That power doesn't exist in Our Nation, known as America, The States "united" in order to form a more perfect union. We the People establish justice...not government.
We the People insure domestic tranquility...not government. We the People provide for the common defense...not the government (not just the 2nd Amendment, think bigger) We the People promote the general welfare...not the government. We the People secure the "blessings" (from God, not man or government) of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity...not the government.
In this Nation, governments are you and your neighbor. The government doesn't exist as its a figment of the imagination, and the Constitution is those (figments) "internal dictates of the mind"
