Radical Democrat Demands Restoration Of Party ‘Sanity And Honesty’
Democrats suddenly realize that President Trump is helping America considerably more than liberals want to admit. One is willing to support the Republican agenda, more will follow.
Please “restore sanity and honesty” to the party, Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) begged Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Democrats are growing ever more disillusioned with the outright lies of their leadership. One of the party’s “radicals,” from the indigo state of New York, took to Facebook on Thursday, wrote a scathing reprimand of a money begging email sent by Senate Minority Leader, which was loaded with attacks on President Donald Trump.
Our economy is booming, unemployment is down even for minorities, yet Schumer keeps “villainizing” the “hard right,” the fed-up democrat blasted.
The renegade heretic promises something unthinkable to the progressive left, support for Republicans. That proves Democrat in name only “DINO’s” aren’t extinct after all. “As a fellow Democrat, I ask you to work to restore sanity and honesty to our party so I can feel good about supporting it fully. Until then, I’m afraid the Republicans have my support.”
An open letter posted on his social media account calls out one of the most vocal party leaders by name and ticks off the facts that liberals deliberately ignore, point by point. “Betraying the ideals that [Democrats] once stood for.”
“So much for the big tent, Senator.” Hikind is preaching like it’s a revival. Face the facts, Trump is winning his deals and it’s making America great again.
“Senator Schumer, in your letter you promise to fight for Democratic values and go on at great length to fully villainize the current administration, but you left out certain facts that my fellow Democrats, to say nothing of all Americans, should also be aware of.”
Hikind wants Schumer to admit that our economy really is improving. “You forgot to tell us about the economy,” he writes. “As good as it’s been, economists expect even more growth through the end of the year.”
Top Democratic leaders, and the media that pander to their every desire, can’t accept the fact that Donald Trump did in his first few months what Barack Obama couldn’t even get off the ground after two full terms.
“You forgot to tell us about unemployment, which is lower than it has been in decades,” Hikind scolds. “It’s also at a record low for minorities. That’s very good news, Senator.”
The economy isn’t the only issue that Democrats are seeing improvement in, despite what leadership is telling them. The earthshaking effects of President Trump’s policies can’t just be swept under the rug.
Between pulling us out of the one-sided Iran deal, brokering historic peace with North Korea, and moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem, Republican efforts are paying off for everyone, including Democrats.
All in spite of nay-saying by Schumer, Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and others.
Under Obama’s administration, U.S.-Israeli relations were at a historically frosty level. Hikind reminds Senator Schumer that he also forgot “to tell us about the most remarkable relationship between the United States and our ally Israel ever.
Or about moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which you yourself applauded.”
On the Iran deal, Hikind noted Schumer was speechless when President Trump canceled the deal.
“You forgot to tell us about the successful dismantling of the Iran deal – a deal which you yourself opposed and knew threatened the rest of the world by making it easier for Iran, the leading supporter of world terrorism, to develop nuclear weapons.”
“You forgot to tell us about a potential peace with a denuclearized North Korea.” That one should get President Trump a Nobel Peace Prize. Too bad they can’t take away Obama’s unearned one and give that to Trump.
Hikind pointed out “how the U.S. is beginning to emerge in energy dominance.” He notes that the Department of Interior “opened plans to lease 77 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico” to reduce our reliance on foreign oil.
Schumer doesn’t want Democrats to know that President Trump’s administration “is against the harmful reverse-discrimination criteria in universities that would so badly hurt the children from hard-working Asian families.”
Hikind is personally happy with President Trump’s tax cuts. “I’m part of the middle class and now I’m getting a little extra in my paycheck. I’m happy about that and so are tens of millions of Americans, Senator.”
Kyrsten Sinema (D-Az) is another moderate DINO climbing out of the partisan tar-pit. Schumer gave her his endorsement but he can keep it, she insists. “I’m not going to vote for him.”
Sinema has a decidedly uphill battle against conservatives for Jeff Flake’s Senate seat. The only chance she has to put up a challenge is to compromise with the state’s rabidly conservative constituents.
The fight seems to be heating up between favored outsider Dr. Kelli Ward and centrist Martha McSally.
Conservatives are not ready to exchange one RINO for another. That puts McSally at a disadvantage over Kelli Ward, a long-time Trump supporter.
Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is also running but considered more of a ticket splitter than a serious candidate.
With his large contingent of die-hard supporters, Arpaio could take enough votes away from the other Republican candidates to be a spoiler, giving Sinema the opening she needs. Especially if McSally gets the GOP nomination.
That strategy relies on her being acceptable to conservatives, which wouldn’t happen if she endorsed Schumer’s rhetoric.
Conor Lamb (D-Pa) and Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.) are also distancing themselves from hardliners in the party. Both came out in opposition to Nancy Pelosi’s hard-left hot air.
As long as Democrat leadership keeps up the strategy to stop Trump at any cost, no matter what he is trying to do, more defectors will start crossing the aisle.
Medicare for all, disbanding ICE, and a federal jobs guarantee are things that may be deal-breakers for many Democrats who are already questioning party authority.
For years, Democrats have presented a unified front on every vote, relying on Republican defectors to advance their agenda. With leadership in chaos and no clear platform, they have only one goal, stop Trump.
Now that moderates on the blue side of the aisle are seeing the benefits of President Trump’s policies, which are often at odds with mainstream Republicans, they are waking up to the fact that maybe having a businessman instead of a politician in charge might just be a good thing after all. President Trump welcomes the support.
