Joe Amditis is the associate director of the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University. He graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 and earned his B.A. with a double-major in political science and criminal justice. In 2016, he received an M.A. from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York City. He co-founded and served as the director of operations at Muckgers, a local, student-focused investigative publication serving the Rutgers-New Brunswick community. Joe served in the New Jersey Army National Guard from 2006-2013 and was deployed to Iraq from 2008-2009. Joe has also worked as an international relations researcher and is currently an amateur graphic designer, audio and video editor (including 360° video), and a wannabe podcaster.
