Just days ago (today is May 5,2018) the Liberty Counsel Family of Ministries received was served a shocking subpoena; a case being spearheaded by two of the most aggressive homosexual rights organizations in the country! ---GLAD (GLBTQ legal advocates & Defenders) and NCLR ( National Center for Lesbian Rights) It is clearly an attempt from these radical groups to bully and intimidate pro-family groups. Here is a quick background: In August of 2017, GLAD & NCLR filed suit against the president’s reinstating the ban on military service by transgenders. Liberty Counsel has been actively engaged in these critical issues as defending marriage at all levels of our government. this case is still underway. They are using subpoena power to harass pro-faith and pro-family groups like us who are not in any way parties to their suits. They are requiring Liberty Counsel and other pro-family groups to present all information on communication with the president’s office, vice president’s office, or any employee of the Department of Defense! Our staff is constantly engaged with both Congress and the administration. Already this year (2018) Liberty Counsel’s Director has taken part in key meetings at the White House and with administration officials, in addition to many interactions with Congress and government officials. this subpoena’s initial demand required all this information in less than two weeks. This is pure harassment and intimidation but we have seen that leftists radical groups are flushed with funds. These homosexual groups want to push family groups like Liberty Counsel to the sidelines. I have, as an attorney, argued cases all the way to the Supreme Court and I have never before seen such bullying tactics. This is a total and unacceptable abuse of our legal system. Please help fight back for your family by meeting this $30,000 need so we can continue to expand our impact in our national Capitol. Thanks in advance, Mat Staver, Chairman.

PL Sturgis: Mat Staver is the lawyer who supported Kim Davis the Kentucky Clerk and many others who were attacked by these radical homosexual groups. I have supported him for years with small donations since I am a widow living on social security that I and my husband paid in for over half a century. If these people think we are going to bow down to this harassment and abandon our families they had better think again!
